Leoncello from Domenico 1440 to German Letter 1517. This was the most widely known dance in Europe during the 15th century created to honor Duke Leoncello of Ferrara. We will discuss the evolution of dance steps and choreography over many generations of dance masters. The class will look at four versions of this dance, two by Domenico, one by Guglielmo Ebreo and the German Letter mss. Dances will be taught along with the discussion.
