Improvisation in Il Canario

A walk through some of the techniques that were used for improvisation in Il Canario. Examples from Lupi, Negri, and Caroso will be covered. Starting at the basic building blocks and developing into longer mutanze. Prerequisite: Experience in 16th Century Italian or the Galliard.
