Biography:

Susan Richter earned a music education degree from North Texas State University, and music remains her life's chief interest. She has played many woodwinds, both early and modern, for most of her life, and has enjoyed singing in early music groups over the years. She has studied with Bob Wiemken and Joan Kimball of Piffaro, Bart Spanhove, and Bert Honig.
Susan has performed on recorders, shawm, dulcian, and voice with the Texas Early Music Project, Austin Baroque Orchestra, Wireless Consort, and St. David's (Austin) Compline Choir. She is a music director of the Austin ARS chapter, and teaches Recorder Consort for the Lifetime Learning Institute in Austin. Susan is the administrator and a frequent faculty member of the Texas Toot early music workshops.
